Potful of a brown colored curry with beef, carrots and potatoes.

I myself come confront to face with this thick brown beef stew like thing in Cairns, Australia, on the boats that used to take my bout groups on day outings to the Great Bulwark Reef. That was a decade back.

Virtually of the clientele on the boats used to be Asians, forth with some Indians. Maybe that's why they put this on their lunch menu. Though few Indians would dare to go shut to information technology, as the majority of Hindus don't eat beef. Yes, I come into the minority.

I never had a clue what information technology was or what information technology was chosen, merely it tasted awesome over a plateful of rice. I used to scarf it down forth with the freshest shrimp you could ever notice.

Anyways… fast forrard a decade and slowly that very familiar taste goes somewhere dorsum into your memory and it stays there till your husband gave you a bundle of curry roux.

All information technology says is "golden curry" on the bundle. Well, you just follow the instructions of the packet, cook the curry, gustatory modality information technology, and… OH MY GOD! My Great Barrier Reef curry. 🙂

I did some looking on the net about this golden curry. Information technology turns out information technology'southward Japanese curry. I never knew I was eating Japanese back-scratch every single time I used to hop on that boat, at least forty-50 times throughout my time escorting tour groups in Australia.

Who would take thought that one twenty-four hour period I would write a web log about it and encourage you to brand information technology in your very own kitchen?
